The Seldom Scene At The Weinberg Center For The Arts

The Seldom Scene At The Weinberg

Bethesda Maryland's pioneers of Bluegrass The Seldom Scene graced the stage at the Weinberg Center For The Arts Friday evening celebrating their new album Long time...Seldom Scene and bringing over 40 years of their traditional bluegrass music back to Frederick MD. Seldom Scene has been playing the Weinberg since the 70's and they let us know how glad they were to be back in Frederick by giving us a stellar hour and a half of bluegrass and old time story telling. My favorite line of the night came when one of the guys (not sure which) said "thank you for coming out to see us on this cold Friday night I know you could've stayed home and watched CSI Frederick". Honestly I would rather have been right where I was last night but it was a funny line among many. It's always a great time with The Seldom Scene!

Country Americana trio Maybe April out of Nashville opened the show with a delightful 45 minute set.
