The Disco Biscuits At The Drive In

Live music is slowly making a come back and Frederick MD. is leading the way with it's Showtime At The Drive In concert series which kicked off this past weekend at the Frederick Fairgrounds. The Disco Biscuits out of Philadelphia PA kicked off the series with back to back sold out shows drawing in #Bisco fans from far and beyond Frederick MD. Despite the rain Bisco gave their fans what they were looking for with two blistering 90 minute sets allowing them to let loose, be together with friends and dance after being cooped up for a year.

As if the rain knew we were having too much fun it stayed away for most of the evening only to slowly move in during the second set, but the beauty of the drive in is you can just go in your car. Fans seemed to enjoy this new concept of having their own space, not being on top of each other while still having great view points and plenty of space to dance.

I've always thought Frederick should be more of a music town (we have that kind of feel and fan base) and that the fairgrounds should be utilized for more music events year round. Showtime At the Drive In seems to have that vision in mind and has put Frederick on the music map bringing in major national headliner acts to the Fairgrounds through 4th of July and perhaps on into fall.
