Alive At Five: Summer Nights On the Creek

The Voodoo Blues band packed the Carroll Creek Amphitheatre for the 4th to last installment of Downtown Frederick Partnership's Alive At Five which runs every Thursday from May to October. We've had our share of weather cancellations this year but not last evening as beautiful blue skies gave way to a gorgeous sunset to the west while the near full moon rose over the fairgrounds to the east. The Voodoo Blues set the mood with 2 sets of New Orleans jazz, funk and blues, while fans danced, soaked up some craft beers from Brewers Alley and ate delicious food served up by Gambrill Mountain food truck.

There are three weeks left to get out and enjoy a Thursday evening at Frederick's biggest happy hour Alive At Five on Carroll Creek. Thursday September 19th is Turtle Recall, the 26th Luna and the Stareless Few, and closing out the summer Oct 3rd will be The Haley Fahey Band. Be sure to take a stroll down the creek to the east and see how beautifully it's coming along, my goodness we have such a beautiful town.
